ACUTE HEALTH HAZARDS & ADVICE
Bituminous
products present no acute health hazard at ambient temperature. However, as these materials are normally
handled at elevated temperatures when their physical state changes to a liquid,
the bitumens present in these products give off fumes which are undesirable to
inhale as very small quantities of HYDROGEN
SULPHIDE may be present in the bitumen.
RECOMMENDED PROTECTIVE CLOTHING:
Overalls, Goggles/Visor,
Gloves and Closed Safety Boots when
handling hot product.
TRANSPORTATION Not classified as dangerous for transportation.
